Though many of the Novus Ordo Catholics are in a confused state, they
want to continue to attend the New Mass (Mass of Paul VI). However, they are concerned
about the Catholic Church. This post is to help all those good Catholics to
find enlightenment to follow what is right. May Our Most Holy Mother of
God and our Guardian Angels enlighten them to find the truth and persuade them to do everything according to the Holy Will
of God always and lead a Holy Catholic life.
The first statement that every N.O. catholic tends to say is that the
Novus Ordo mass is a valid one approved and given by the Church (by Pope
Paul VI). Why should I abstain from the New Mass?
Firstly, it is not the question of the validity of the New mass or its Sacraments (though
it is in doubt as the new rite and the form of the new canon have been changed
and are void of the essential factors that make any sacrament valid), but
it is more about where it leads the faithful to. To find out where it leads to,
we should be knowing its origin.
When, how and who
designed and instituted the Novus Ordo Mass?
When? The mere 50 years old Novus Ordo Mass was promulgated on 3rd April
1969, in the place of a 2000 years old Tridentine Latin Mass. Doesn't this make your reason question the authenticity of the New Mass?
How? It was created by modifying the Roman Rite of the Holy Mass which was
consolidated and codified by Pope St. Pius V. The New Mass absolutely goes
against the Papal Bull Quo Primum which was issued by the
Holy Pope St. Pius V on 15th July 1570 with his power of infallibility, in accordance with the
Council of Trent in order to preserve the Catholic Church, which states that
"Let all everywhere adopt and observe what
has been handed down by the Holy Roman Church, the Mother and Teacher of the
other churches, and let Masses not be sung or read according to any other
formula than that of this Missal published by Us. This ordinance applies henceforth,
now, and forever, throughout all the provinces of the Christian world,
to all patriarchs, cathedral churches, collegiate and parish churches, be they
secular or religious, both of men and of women – even of military orders – and
of churches or chapels without a specific congregation in which conventual
Masses are sung aloud in the choir or read privately in accord with the rites
and customs of the Roman Church." (...) "No one whosoever is permitted to
alter this notice of Our permission, statute, ordinance, command, precept,
grant, indult, declaration, will, decree, and prohibition. Would anyone,
however, presume to commit such an act, he should know that he will incur
the wrath of Almighty God and of the Blessed Apostles Peter and Paul."
Doesn't this sound frightful and scary?
Who?
Pope Paul VI erected a committee called Consilium ad exsequendam
Constitutionem de Sacra Liturgia (Consilium), “the committee for
carrying out the constitution on the Sacred Liturgy” on 25th January
1964 which was commissioned to revise all the existing liturgical rite. The secretary
of this Consilium was Archbishop Annabale Bugnini who was found to be a
Freemason and was removed from the office in the Vatican when it became public that
he was a mason. He was initiated into the Masonic Lodge on April 23, 1963 (Masonic
Register of Italy dated 1976). The Consilium also had participants from the
heretic sects including six Protestant ministers. Hence, it is made clear that the New Mass was
created by the Freemasons and the Protestants who aim at the destruction of the
Holy Church. The protestants were much more faithful to their founder Apostate Martin
Luther’s idea of “Tolle missam, Tolle Ecclesiam” – “To destroy the
Church, destroy the Mass” which they have executed very well in the Consilium.

Where does it lead the faithful to?
Lack of Faith. Yes, it has led most of the Catholics to the lack of
faith. The evident fruits of Novus Ordo Mass are Lack of Reverence
towards the Blessed Sacrament and the Holy Mass, Lack of Vocations and the priesthood, Watered Catechism in which love of man and nature and social
problems are addressed in place of Love of God, Emptied
Churches, Liturgical abuses, decrease in the number of Holy Matrimonies,
baptisms, Religious orders, Catholic Schools, etc, and at last the huge and
dramatic fall in the Mass attendance and much more. (K. Jones,
Index of Leading Catholic Indicators., L. Bouyer, The Decomposition of
Catholicism). Blessed Anne Catherine Emmerich, one of the greatest mystics
in the history of the Church said “I saw Jesus Himself cruelly sacrificed on
the Altar by unworthy and sinful celebrations of the Holy Mysteries. I saw how
the blessed Host lay on the altar before unworthy degenerate priests like a
living Child Jesus, whom they cut and terribly mutilated with the paten. Their
sacrifice, though an efficacious celebration of the Holy Mysteries, appeared
like a cruel murder”. Won't our eyes be filled with tears on hearing this?
With the fruits of the New Mass, anyone who has Wisdom can easily find
out the nature of the tree ‘The Novus Ordo Mass’. “Non est enim arbor bona
quae facit fructus malos neque arbor mala faciens fructum bonum” “For there is
no good tree that bringeth forth evil fruit: nor an evil tree that bringeth
forth good fruit (St. Luke 6:43)”.
Time to make a Move!
So, decide now.
Do you still want to stay with the Novus Ordo Mass founded by Freemasons
and Protestants? (or) Do you want to stay with the Holy Traditional Latin Mass which
originates from the Last Supper of Our Lord, the first Holy Mass?
Do you still want to support the New Mass which has led so many souls
into destruction? (or) Do you want to defend the tradition that has produced multitudes of Saints in heaven who continue to intercede for us before the Most Holy Throne of God the Almighty?
Do you still want to stay with the New Mass that keeps the man in the centre of your daily activities? (or) Do you want to adore Our Lord and worship Him as the centre of
everything in your life?
Do you still want to be a part of the Cruel murder as revealed to Blessed
Anne Catherine Emmerich and Saints? (or) Do you want to adore Our Lord with due
reverence and unite yourself in the Holy Sacrifice of Calvary?
Finally, do you still want to be a modernist? (or) Do you want to become
a traditionalist?
Remember, one cannot be both. Modernism and Tradition are opposed to
each other as modernism aims at the destruction of the Catholic Church while the Tradition aims at defending the Catholic Church. They are like the two masters that Our Lord mentioned in the Holy Scripture.
“Nemo potest duobus dominis servire aut enim unum odio habebit et
alterum diliget aut unum sustinebit et alterum contemnet non potestis Deo
servire et mamonae - No man can serve two masters. For either he will hate the
one, and love the other: or he will sustain the one, and despise the other. You
cannot serve God and mammon (all that belongs to the world)”
Be either with Tradition or with Modernism.
Aren’t we obliged to obey the Pope (Pope Paul VI)?
First of all, the New Mass has not been mandated by Pope Paul VI but
was introduced only on an experimental basis. Even if it has been mandated, one
need not obey the authorities when it becomes a grave fear for his faith and
soul. St. Robert Bellarmine says that “Just as it is licit to resist a
Pontiff who attacks the body, so it is licit to resist him who attack souls, or
who disturbs the civil order, or, above all him who tries to destroy the Church.
It is licit to resist him by not doing what he orders and by impeding the
execution of his will.”
Why should we follow Tradition?
Because Saints and Apostles asked us to do so.
The true friends of the people are neither revolutionaries nor
innovators but men of tradition - St. Pius X
Even if the Catholics faithful to Tradition are reduced to a handful,
they are the ones who are the true Church of Jesus Christ - St. Athanasius
Therefore, brethren, stand fast: and hold the traditions, which you have
learned, whether by word or by our epistle - 2 Thessalonians 2:15
And we charge you, brethren, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that
you withdraw yourselves from every brother walking disorderly and not according
to the tradition which they have received of us - 2 Thessalonians 3:6
We do not change the boundaries marked by our Holy Fathers. We keep the
tradition we have received. If we begin to lay down the law to the church, even
in the smallest thing, the whole edifice will fall to the ground in no short
time. – St. John Damascus.
It is needful also to make use of tradition, for not everything can be
gotten from Sacred Scripture. The holy apostles handed down some things in the
scriptures, other things in tradition – St. Epiphanius of Salamis
What do we do Now?
Search for the Traditional Mass. Fortunately, we have not been deprived
of the Traditional Latin Mass. It is celebrated all through the world even
today. You can search online for the locations where the Tridentine Mass is
being celebrated.
If you don’t find one nearby, ask for it! Pope Benedict XVI in his pontifical
letter “Motu Proprio Summorum Pontificum” which was issued on 7th
July 2007, stated that “It is therefore permitted to celebrate the Sacrifice
of the Mass following the typical edition of the Roman Missal, which was
promulgated by Pope John XXIII in 1962 and never abrogated, as an
extraordinary form of the Church’s Liturgy”, and “If a group of the lay faithful, has not been granted its
requests by the parish priest, it should inform the diocesan bishop. The
bishop is earnestly requested to satisfy their desire. If he does not
wish to provide for such celebration, the matter should be referred to the Pontifical Commission Ecclesia Dei.” According to
this decree, no parish priest or bishop can deny you this favor. Hence, if you
really care for the Church, bring back it’s glorious tradition.
If you are still confused, you can ask for help from Heaven. Pray the
following Novena Prayer to St. Pius X and ask for his help to decide what is
right for your soul.
Glorious Pope of the Holy Eucharist, St. Pius X, you
sought “to restore all things in Christ.” Obtain for me a true love of Jesus so
that I may live only for Him. Help me to acquire a lively fervor and a sincere
will to strive for sanctity of life and that I may avail myself of the riches
of the Holy Eucharist, which is sacrifice and sacrament. By your love for Most Holy Mary, Holy Mother of God and Queen of Heaven and earth, inflame my heart with tender devotion to Her.
Blessed
model of the priesthood, obtain for us holy, dedicated priests, and increase
vocations to the priesthood and religious life.
Dispel
confusion, hatred, and anxiety. Incline our hearts to peace so that all nations
will place themselves under the reign of Christ. Amen.
(Here mention your request).
Our Father, Hail Mary, Glory be
St. Pius X, pray for me.
Ave Maria!
Glory to St. Joseph!
